These envelope holders are made by Karen hill tribes on Thai – Burma border using their hand-weaving and plant-dyeing. Usually the women do their natural thread dyeing in dry season, summer. Dyeing is also as a home work for the women in their leisure times. For example, after they finished and backed from their farm work. The products are made of bark such as Indian trumpet tree, Tamarind tree, Timber, Maw Na Tar, Sa Pee Too and Nor Shaw.
