Exhibition: Uncertain Lives (Nov 2008)
On Thursday 6th November, Borderline opened a special solo exhibition titled Uncertain Lives, showcasing the work of Burmese artist Nyan Soe. It is his second solo show at Borderline Gallery.
He want to show his impress on the exile people along the Thai-Burma border. Their uncertain lives, livelihood, future and reflections between migrants people on the strange land. He use acrylic and flat tone in his creation.
Since I was young I was interested in art, through my art I want to express my feeling and show those feelings to the audience, he said.
For the opening reception, Borderline offered traditional Burmese food and drinks supported by Borderline Tea Shop. As usual the opening reception was held in the evening between 6:00pm and 9:00pm.
The exhibition will close on 20th November.
