On Thursday 2nd October, Borderline opened a special solo exhibition titled Journey Into a Spiritual Heartland, showcasing the work of Burmese artist Wanna Zaw. It is his third solo show at Borderline Gallery.

The main body of Wanna Zaw’s artwork explores his own journey into the spiritual heartland of Burma’s Pagan. The artist’s brush stroke creates a unique reflection on the subject. Utilizing rich, warm tones and striking shadows we see through his eyes; the beauty, stillness and sense of sacredness that remains there even today.

For the opening reception, Borderline offered traditional Burmese food and drinks supported by Borderline Tea Shop. As usual the opening reception was held in the evening between 6:00pm and 9:00pm. The show runs until 16th October.
