Exhibition: Art exhibition and promotional sale for Borderline birthday (July 2008)
On Friday 11th July 2008, Borderline opened a special exhibition of member artists and a promotional sale at Women’s Collective. The artists created and expressed their emotions from along the Thailand-Burma border and also their yearning to Burma, their native. You can feel their work of collages, watercolor, oil on canvas, acrylic and more…
Borderline started in this month four years ago and now we work successfully and in solidarity with many different groups along the Thailand-Burma border. Borderline has been getting many women groups at her Women’s collective and artists at her Gallery. Also Borderline has received over 200 friends from all over the world for cooking classes at the Tea Shop. It is especially for vegetarians.
During our anniversary, we have some special offers:
For every artwork you buy, you will receive a free set of art cards. These are designed by members of the art collective.
If you buy 1,000 Baht of handicrafts, our gift to you is a free drink at the tea garden.
If you buy 2,000 Baht of handicrafts, our gift to you is a hand woven pocket bag.
If you buy 3,000 Baht or more worth of handicrafts, our gift to you is a hand woven pocket bag and a free drink.
The exhibition will close on 5th August. For the opening reception, Borderline offered Burmese food and drinks from the Borderline Tea Garden in the evening between 6:00pm and 9:00pm. Also we have traditional music from different ethnic groups at the Gallery.
