Nyan Soe

I started to paint at a young age under the guidance of my father who is also an artist.
In 1995 I passed 10th standard and went to the University of Culture in Rangoon, Burma where I received my BA in painting in 1999.
In 2000, we made an Exhibition at the National Museum as part of school closing ceremony activities. We also made a two man show at AZLA Gallery. I stayed in Rangoon until August 2004. I didn’t have enough time to paint every day. At that time I worked for the Government. And then, I moved to Bangkok, where I and my wife stayed for one year, after that we moved to Mae Sot.
Now I am teaching art at The New Blood School, Has Mu Htaw and Parami School as a volunteer. I am interested in different shapes, light, dark and colour of the natural environment. I have been drawing pictures since I was a child and still try right now.
I hope to continue experimenting with how I can express my feelings through different styles.
“Since I was young I was interested in art, through my art I want to express my feeling and show those feelings to the audience”, he said.
