6th Anniversary of BORDERLINE SHOP

untitled-1-final.jpgOn 15th July 2010, Borderline shop will hold it’s 6th Anniversary birthday party. The event is wounded by the art exhibition and the special performance of the Babymime artists.

Many of Borderline’s member artists participate to show their different artworks which is made with different mediums for their Borderline Shop’s birthday party.
For this special exhibition their artworks are showing their different styles and influences . The artists used their medium to produce a different striking portfolio of images that reveal their unique sense of the world around them.

Babymime’s story
In 1999 4 young men, Nging Ta Glur and Jo, from different educational background, meet by destiny. They took a basic pantomime course, lectured by “Kon na khao” (The White face theatre group) Paitoon Laisakul, together. After Studying for awhile, They decided to create their own new style pantomime and called themselves “Babymime”. Nowadays Babymime has 3 main artists, which are Nging Ta and Glur. They creates and develops their comedic styled pantomime and performs their piece in many stages and festivals.
In 2003 Babymime became well-known in an international production by joining with overseas pantomime artists in “Pantomime in Bangkok” (6th), which appeared to be very successful among fans audiences and press as well. For street show, they invited to join in “International Street show in Bangkok 2008” For their performed at Pridi Banomyong Institute, Thong-Lor, such as “Babymime Show Vol.1(2008) and Vol.2(2009), both of which attracted more than 1,500 audiences. Last are performed, they invited from “Flipside Festival” at Singapore and more audiences in every show of them.
Please join us to enjoy the show and meet the artist at the opening reception taking place at our Gallery from 6:00pm to 9:00pm on Thursday 15th July. The exhibition will be on until 30th July 2010.
